"This is the 'Industry Gold Standard' minor illness course."
Dr Fay Wilson, Medical Director, Badger GP Out of Hours Co-operative

In-Person Courses

We were the first organisation in the UK to offer a minor illness course for nurses. Unlike similar courses run by universities, our seminars are still taught entirely by clinicians who have a wealth of experience in their field, and who also have an extensive, up to date knowledge of the relevant research literature. Our practice is accredited by the Royal College of General Practitioners as an investigator-led research practice.

Since 1997 we have been providing high-quality education for nurses from our NHS general practice in Stopsley, Luton. As the national specialists in minor illness, we also produced the standard text, the Minor Illness Manual.  This book is now in its fourth edition, and has sold over 20,000 copies worldwide. We have taught over a thousand students from the UK and abroad.  The majority were practice nurses, but many have come from Walk-in Centres, Urgent Care Centres and Minor Injury Units.  We have also taught Occupational Health, school and prison nurses, health visitors, pharmacists and paramedics.  Feedback from students has been overwhelmingly positive, with many of them voting it “the best course I have ever been on”.
